((Sorry, a little late…well, late Christmas cheer is always good!)) Reginald rubbed his hands together and lifted up the great, big, Christmas package. It was wrapped in cherry red, emerald green, with sprigs of holly at the corners. He wrapped it up in a bright orange cloth and held it close before braving the snow covered grounds to deliver his gift to Alice before the Christmas caroling. Alice was sitting on her porch, reading as she usually did on her days off when she heard a happy bark. She looked up with a start and stared down at the dog standing inside her gate. "Nice doggie, good doggie," she stated, slowly uncurling from her chair as she backed away from the dog. He barked again and came forward, making her squeak in slight fear before pulling away farther. "Stay doggie, stay," she ordered, though this got her another loud bark from the animal. 18. Laundry

Winter was coming upon them, fast and hard, leaving Alice to figure out how she was going to do this. She had a pile of laundry that needed hanging and the lines weren't cooperating.
